New Phoenix Municipal Court judge aims to make court more convenient

Two months onto the job, Phoenix Municipal Court Presiding Judge Wilbur Hudson is working to make the court more convenient for all involved.

Hudson, who was appointed to the position on June 3, is expanding the use of video and telephonic hearings with the court, is overseeing the digitizing of the court’s case management system and is considering expanding the court’s hours.

Hudson detailed these updates to the Phoenix Public Safety and Justice Subcommittee on Wednesday. City Councilmember Kevin Robinson encouraged the idea of expanding the court’s hours outside of normal business hours.
