A new on-campus apartment building is being added to Grand Canyon University’s campus in Phoenix.
The project, on 1.9 acres at the southwest corner of 29th Avenue and Colter Street, is called GCU Turquoise Apartments. It received preliminary and final approval of its site plan from the city of Phoenix last week.
The university has not announced how many units the apartment building will have, but GCU’s planned-unit development with the city of Phoenix caps campus housing at a density of 50 units per acre. That means the Turquoise Apartments could have 94 apartment units at most.
