Maricopa County invested $1.2 million in CARES act funding to help the city of El Mirage open Hohokam Trail.
The multi-use trail runs between Dysart Road at Sweetwater Avenue and Cactus Road at 123rd Lane.
“You know there are some small cities that don’t have the kind of money to pull off what big cities do because they don’t have the tax base for it”, Clint Hickman, Board of Supervisors chairman, shared in a press release. “This is exactly what I live for a partnership with Maricopa County and a small city like El Mirage”.
