A stretch of a new lane is open along westbound Loop 101 as part of a widening project west of Interstate 17, state transportation officials said Monday.
Crews recently opened the general purpose travel lane along Loop 101 between 51st and 75th avenues following a weekend closure.
The Arizona Department of Transportation is working on a $140 million Loop 101 widening project to add new lanes and other improvements between I-17 and 75th Avenue. The project is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2027.
