New give-back effort afoot as Arizona pizza shop supports Special Olympics

Fired Pie owner wants to ‘do something outside our four walls’

In an effort to support the community, Fired Pie has partnered with Special Olympics Arizona to fundraise money that will go towards the programming costs for engaging the organization’s athletes.

Earlier this month, Fired Pie, the locally-owned pizza restaurant chain, began offering customers an opportunity to donate to and support Special Olympics Arizona through a “placard” program.

Through the campaign, customers can donate $5 or more to the organization in exchange for a placard sign with their name to be hung up in various Fired Pie locations.
