New Fry’s Marketplace, rental units coming to Queen Creek

The Queen Creek Town Council voted at its Wednesday, June 1, meeting to approve a rezoning and commercial site plan that will bring another Fry’s Marketplace to the town as well as open the door to two new residential developments.

The project is called Hudson Station and generally will be located at the southwest corner of Signal Butte and Queen Creek roads. The town’s Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the project during its May 11 meeting.

This proposal consisted of a request to rezone a 95-acre property and a request for site plan approval of a 24-acre commercial center anchored by a Fry’s Marketplace and Pharmacy and an Eos Fitness facility. Another 25 acres will be used for a rental community and the balance of the acreage will eventually become a single-family home subdivision.
