New fire station opens in Queen Creek

Queen Creek has opened its permanent Fire Station No. 2 on Sossaman Road.

The new station at 24787 S. Sossaman Road replaces the temporary modular building Queen Creek Fire and Medical has operated out of since 2008.

The $8.8 million building is 13,000 square feet, a far cry from the 2,000 square feet the department was using.
