A special Recreation Center of Sun City West meeting earlier this month ended with a new director.
After the ninth governing board seat was vacated due to Donna Maloney stepping down for personal reasons, Kay Williams, Sun City West resident, is now filling a 1-year vacancy.
Tim Hurley, governing board member, said several people stepped up and wanted to be considered for the board and it was his opinion since the term is for one year, the person selected should have board experience. This is because typically in the first year directors are finding a way around bylaws.
