New Chandler eatery serves Japanese pancakes

Fluffy Cakes a husband-and-wife-owned shop specializing in Japanese souffle pancakes, has opened in the food court at Chandler Fashion Center, 3111 W. Chandler Blvd.
The eatery is in a stand-alone kiosk at the food court entrance, also near the Crayola Experience.
The food is unnlike traditional pancakes, Japanese pancakes are smaller in diameter but as thick as 2 inches.
An order of Japanese pancakes currently goes for $8.75. The pancakes can be topped with fruit, Nutella, or biscoff cookie butter.
There are also fish-shaped taiyaki waffles and Japanese milk bread.
The hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
