The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors unanimously selected Jack Sellers as its chairman as part of a special meeting Wednesday.
Sellers — who testified on Capitol Hill in 2021 regarding the 2020 presidential election results — started off his speech by saying the board supports its employees. Some Maricopa County residents and others alleged workers took part in election fraud in a race where Joe Biden came out victorious.
Some fought unsuccessfully to overturn the 2020 presidential election in such places as Georgia and Maricopa County.
