New apartment community, commercial parcel planned for downtown Peoria

190 multifamily units slated for Peoria Avenue

Downtown Peoria is seeing fresh infill development they hope will revitalize the area.

Peoria City Council approved a new 190-unit, gated multifamily residential community known as Streamliner Peoria that is expected to come with an adjacent future commercial phase on 7.6 acres at the southwest corner of 87th and Peoria avenues.

The residential portion of the project will sit on 6.2 acres and have a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedrooms units averaging 30.6 dwellings per acre.
