New alert systems approved for Florence fire

Two fire stations in Florence will be receiving new alerting systems.

The Florence Fire & Medical Department has received the go-ahead from the Florence Town Council to purchase new alerting systems.

At its Monday night meeting, the council approved the purchase of two Phoenix G2 Station Alerting Systems from Tempe-based US Digital Designs Inc. in an amount not to exceed $53,743.14.
