A jolt of news shook the two Phoenix professional basketball organizations Tuesday as the NBA announced Suns and Mercury owner Robert Sarver would be suspended for one year and fined $10 million after a lengthy investigation.
The investigation found that Sarver had engaged in what the league called “workplace misconduct and organizational deficiencies,” according to the Associated Press.
The findings of the league’s report came nearly a year after the NBA asked a law firm to investigate allegations that Sarver “had a history of racist, misogynistic and hostile incidents over his nearly two-decade tenure” overseeing the franchise, the story said.
