The Native American Fatherhood and Families Association is sponsoring the NAFFA Art Market from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Oct. 14 at 525 W. Southern Ave., Mesa, where shoppers can buy jewelry, artwork, food and more.
There will be more than 20 vendors at the event, according to a release.
The art market is a way for NAFFA to raise money for its programs and day-to-day operations, event organizers said.
Founded in 2002, officials with the Arizona-based non-profit organization said that it works to strengthen families through four curricula: fatherhood is sacred, motherhood is sacred; linking generations by strengthening relationships; addressing family violence, abuse; and suicide prevention.
“All curricula use time-honored cultural principles and practices as a foundation to build strong families that are resilient to divorce, domestic and substance abuse, suicide and human trafficking,” the release stated.
