Nancy Stewart Rasmussen

SUN CITY WEST - Nancy Rasmussen past away Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013. She was born in Fortuna California to parents Arthur and Enid Stewart who were sixth generation California natives. Nancy attended Fortuna Elementary School and graduated from Fortuna High School, class of 1951. She attended San Jose State College and later married her high school sweetheart Ronald Rasmussen in 1953. Nancy was a homemaker, a mother of two and an avid bridge player, becoming a bridge "Life Master". She and Ronald had traveled the world extensively until her stroke six years ago. Proceeding Nancy in death were her father, mother and brother, Gary. Survivors are her husband ,Ronald of Sun City West; daughter, Renee and husband of Fresno, Calif.; son, Lance and his wife of San Jose, Calif.; grandchildren, Kayla Rasmussen, student at San Diego State U.; and grandson, Kyle, a college student at Pleasanton, Calif. Ronald and Nancy were married 60 years but she spent the last six years in a care home. Now she is free at last to fly with the angels.
