Nancy S. Hamilton, 85Paradise Valley resident Nancy S. Hamilton passed away Feb. 26 from complications of pneumonia and congestive heart failure. She was 85.Ms. Hamilton was born in Chicago in 1921, the daughter of Herb and Edith Simpson.She was raised on the north side of Chicago and graduated from the University of Chicago in 1943. She married Hugh Hamilton in 1951.Having visited the Phoenix area many times with her parents, they moved to Paradise Valley in 1956 to raise their family.For more than 50 years, she was active in many of the Valley's social and charitable organizations.In 1988, Mr. Hamilton passed away, and in 1999, Ms. Hamilton moved to Westminster Village.She is survived by two sons, Steve of Scottsdale and Ron of San Diego.Services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 6947 E. McDonald Drive, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253. Messinger Indian School Mortuary assisted the family.
