ProMusica Arizona's mission is to enrich lives in the Greater Phoenix Area through innovative, joint performances of its multigenerational chorale and orchestra.
Since its founding in 2003, ProMusica Arizona (PMAZ) Chorale and Orchestra has become a leader in bringing live music to audiences in the Greater Phoenix Area. With almost 100 singers and instrumentalists ranging in age from late teens to mid-80s, the group has performed over 150 times for nearly 100,000 people in venues across the Valley, including the Orpheum Theater, Herberger Theater Center, Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, and Camelback Bible Church. Innovation and variety characterize the group’s four-concert season, which includes musical genres ranging from classical to contemporary, semi-staged Broadway favorites, and creative collaborations with partners such as Video Games Live™ and its “click track” technology.
As part of its commitment to high quality musical performances, PMAZ is dedicated to an inclusive policy of attracting musicians in every age group with varying skill levels and providing a challenging but supportive environment to develop talent. Participation offers musicians an educational experience and opportunity to practice with others, perform before a live audience, and receive mentoring and instruction from experienced singers and instrumentalists. Adam Stich, DMA, is the Artistic Director of PMAZ and is also Director of Choral Studies at Scottsdale Community College. Dr. Stich conducts auditions, nurtures talent, and brings the voices and instruments together for each performance. In 2015 and beyond, PMAZ will continue to provide a performance home for local talent and bring live music at affordable ticket prices to audiences of all ages.
ProMusica Arizona Chorale & Orchestra is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and has achieved resounding success due to the dedication of the members and superb community support. ProMusica Arizona is a proud member of Chorus America, League of American Orchestras, and a founding member of the Arts Council of the North Valley.
