Music, art festival celebrating wildlife coming to Phoenix

Liberty Wildlife will host walk along the Salt River, conservation gathering

Celebrate wildlife and the environment in which they thrive at an upcoming Phoenix music and art festival.

Nestled along the south bank of the Rio Salado in central Phoenix, the nonprofit Liberty Wildlife celebrates the urban river and the wildlife drawn to it at the third annual El Rio Vivo Art & Music Festival. The all-day event on Saturday, March 7 will feature dozens of artists, conservation partner organizations, and local food truck vendors, as well as live animal encounters with the educational ambassadors at Liberty Wildlife.

Liberty Wildlife nurtures the nature of Arizona and the Southwest, providing expert wildlife rehabilitation, natural history education, conservation services, and leading examples of environmental sustainability. In the past year, Liberty Wildlife cared for more than 9,000 animals in its rehabilitation hospital and provided nearly 800 wildlife educational programs, reaching over 200,000 people in the community.
