This summer’s north Phoenix land auction is expected to help set the table for an advanced manufacturing science and technology park along Interstate 17.
At full build out — in an estimated 20 years — the Sonoran Oasis Tech Park is expected to bring 50,000 jobs to the area, according to Chris Mackay, economic development director with the city of Phoenix.
The land near Interstate 17 and Loop 303 is up for auction and is estimated to add to burgeoning semicondutor manufacturing landscape that includes the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. facility under construction nearby. The parcel up for auction is generally located west, north and east of where TSMC’s Arizona facility is located.
