A 280-unit gated, multifamily residential community could be coming to 14 acres at the Camino a Lago Marketplace, but it has encountered some opposition from nearby residents as the permitting process has progressed.
The 56-acre Camino a Lago Marketplace, located near the southeast corner of Lake Pleasant Parkway and Deer Valley Road, is anchored by a Walmart Supercenter, surrounded by other businesses such as Super Star Car Wash, MedPost Urgent Care, Peoria Artisan Brewery and Pleasant Dental Care.
The proposed multifamily residential project, named The Place at Camino a Lago, would occupy a portion of a larger undeveloped 22-acre parcel located in the southeastern portion of the site. An EOS Fitness exercise facility is planned for the remaining 8 acres north of the proposed multifamily project.
