Mueller: Applauds governor for foresight

Posted

As a retired school librarian, I want to applaud Gov. Doug Ducey for his leadership in creating a strong rainy-day fund for Arizona.

His foresight on this issue has enabled the state to invest new dollars in education when other states are cutting their education budgets in this time of pandemic.

No one anticipated the damage to Arizona’s citizens and economy COVID-19 would create. The governor stood firm on the importance of setting aside money for emergencies. Arizona now has money to help our schools reopen safely and I thank him for doing the right thing.

Thank you Gov. Ducey for your continued support of education and all Arizonans.

Linda H. Mueller

Ducey, education
