Twins and Mountain Ridge graduates Madison and McKenna Witt won the beach volleyball silver medal in the 2016 World University Championships in Estonia. *Submitted)

The twins are now in their senior year as the No. 1 beach volleyball team at the University of Arizona. The Wildcats finished fifth in the inaugural national championships in the sport in 2016.

Recently, the Witts won the silver medal at the 20136 FISU World University Championships in Estonia for the beach volleyball championship. They were one of the two teams chosen from the United States to compete, and those two teams.

They finished with a 24-6 record were also voted All American in 2016. Madison and McKenna were named to the Pac-12 All-Conference First Team and were honorable mention for the Pac-12 All-Academic team.

The twins have been offered a masters degree from California Baptist this next year if they play there for their fifth year.

In their final two years at Mountain Ridge, the Witt twins led the Mountain Lions to a third-place finish at the state Division I championship in back to back years.
