Motorcyclist dies after South Mountain Park crash

Posted

A 28-year-old man died Sunday after the motorcycle he was operating crashed as it was traveling east toward the top of South Mountain, police said.

Detectives are investigating the collision that occurred about 11:50 a.m. Nov. 10 near 10919 S. Central Ave.

Preliminary information suggests the driver, 28-year-old Edward Perez Severino, was operating a Suzuki motorcycle traveling east up the two-lane road leading to the top of South Mountain “when he exited the roadway maneuvering a left turn,” according to a Phoenix Police Department release.

Two other riders arrived after the collision and called for assistance. The victim was taken to a hospital where he died, police said.
