Motorcyclist dies after being hit by car, Phoenix police investigate

A motorcyclist died after being hit by a car Thursday night near 19th Avenue and Indian School Road, Phoenix police said.

A witness said the motorcyclist was riding south on 19th Avenue and, while passing through the intersection on a green light, was hit by a car making a left turn to go west on Indian School Road, police stated in a release on Saturday.

The crash occurred about 10 p.m. Sept. 28

A motorcyclist died after being hit by a car Thursday night near 19th Avenue and Indian School Road, Phoenix police said.

A witness said the motorcyclist was riding south on 19th Avenue and, while passing through the intersection on a green light, was hit by a car making a left turn to go west on Indian School Road, police stated in a release on Saturday.

The crash occurred about 10 p.m. Sept. 28

The woman driving the car stayed at the scene and did not show any signs of impairment, police said, adding detectives are continuing an investigation.
