Thanks to new funding provided by the Maricopa Association of Governments, the Arizona Department of Transportation will be making additional near-term improvements on U.S. 60 and Loop 303 in Surprise to help improve traffic flow.
Improvements for U.S. 60 and Loop 303 in 2025 are as follows:
Adding a second right turn lane on eastbound U.S. 60 to the southbound Loop 303 on-ramp.
Adding a third left turn lane from the southbound Loop 303 off-ramp to westbound U.S. 60.
Lengthening the two-lane portion of the southbound Loop 303 on-ramp.
Improvements for U.S. 60 and 163rd Avenue in 2025 are as follows:
Adding a dedicated eastbound right turn lane into the drive between Deer Valley Road and 163rd Avenue and an acceleration lane along eastbound U.S. 60.
Adding a fourth lane in each direction along U.S. 60 through the 163rd Avenue intersection.
