More than 900 new weekly COVID-19 cases reported in Goodyear

County community spread remains substantial

Arizona Department of Health Services reported 910 new COVID-19 cases in Goodyear’s 85338 and 85395 ZIP codes over the week ending Friday, Jan. 8, bringing the total number of cases to 7,479.

That represents a 13.9% increase over last Friday, when 600 new cases were reported, and a 25.3% increase over Dec. 25, when 451 new cases were reported.

The agency said more than 90% of cases were mapped to the address of the patient’s residence:
