State Farm Stadium to host 12,000-pound machines and their drivers

Monster Jam, the motorsports experience for families and fans, returns to Glendale for an adrenaline-charged weekend.

The big event with 12,000-pound monster trucks tearing up dirt in wide-open competitions of speed and skill, takes place at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 at State Farm Stadium, 1 Cardinals Drive.

Monster Jam drivers are trained male and female athletes who have mastered not only the physical strength and mental stamina needed to compete, but the vital dexterity to control 12,000-pound machines capable of doing backflips, vertical two-wheel skills and racing at speeds up to 70 miles-per-hour.

The excitement begins at the Monster Jam Pit Party fan experience prior to the Saturday event. Fans can see the massive trucks up close, meet drivers and crews, get autographs, take pictures and enjoy other family-friendly activities.

The pit party that day is open from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Tickets go on sale to the public Tuesday, July 18 at seatgeek.com.
