Monday morning brings weeks of driving headaches to SR 51, Camelback Road

Drivers should prepare for several weeks of “significant lane restricions” along northbound State Route 51 near Camelback Road.

And it all begins 5 a.m. Monday, July 27, state transportation officials said.

The highway segment will be narrowed to two northbound lanes for about seven weeks to replace about 700 feet of damaged pavement. Repairs also will be made to the freeway’s drainage system, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
