Paradise Valley Town Council was ready to close the issue and give final direction on Mockingbird Lane’s sidewalk improvements at its meeting Feb. 23.
With four council members against adding a second sidewalk to the east of Mockingbird Lane, the project will go forward with only improving the existing sidewalk on the west to meet American with Disabilities Act requirements.
The contract for Mockingbird Lane improvements was approved May 27, 2021, which has been followed by three open houses and three study sessions, as well as a special session from the Planning Commission on Jan. 17.
