Mochinut in Tempe does donuts differently

Glazed donuts, crispy Korean-style corn dogs and boba tea make up the menu at Mochinut in Tempe, a different kind of donut shop in the East Valley.

Started in California, the Tempe location opened a year-and-a-half ago at 117 E Southern Avenue. Mochinut is in several other Valley cities, though run by different franchisees.

Mochinut specializes in mochi donuts popularized in countries like Korea, according to Archie Wang, manager in Tempe.
