A mix of multifamily and retail is planned along Central Avenue in south Phoenix.

The Phoenix Planning Commission on Thursday night unanimously approved a rezone for the 8.9-acre property at the northeast corner of Central Avenue and Roeser Road, changing it from a mix of residential and commercial zoning to a Walkable Urban Code zoning. Phoenix City Council will still need to vote for final approval.
