An elderly man reported missing in Queen Creek over the weekend has been found dead.

Terry Flickinger, 72, was last seen about 10 p.m. July 1 in the area of Sossaman Road and Sundance Drive, south of Hunt Highway, in Queen Creek.

Flickinger was reported missing on July 4. Due to his age, history of medical conditions and the extreme heat, a Silver Alert was issued that day.

The Queen Creek Police Department searched for Flickinger throughout the weekend. His body was located on Tuesday during a joint search with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office search and rescue and specialized K-9 units in the desert area south of Flickinger’s property.

Preliminary information does not indicate foul play, and QCPD is continuing to investigate.
