There are two ways to look at Shadow Ridge boys basketball’s weekend at the Section 7 Team Camp June 18-20 in Glendale.
After winning its bracket that weekend the Stallions were a bit led on by an (accidental) tweet stating that the team qualified for the Section 7 finals event June 25-27 at Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix — even though the bracket Shadow Ridge won was not pegged to qualify for the main event.
Or consider this — Shadow Ridge was not planning to play in Section 7 at all until another Arizona team bowed out and wound up with a fun weekend an 4-0 record. And the team had a shot of playing at Brophy, if it was able to go undefeated the first two days of the Summer 64 tournament at Sunrise Mountain.
