Registration for the 2022 fall season at the Miracle League of Arizona is now open.
Registration and participation in the league is free and can be done on the Miracle League of Arizona’s website, according to a press release. There are no COVID-19 restrictions for players or volunteers. In order to register and play in the league, players must be at least five years old and must have a disability.
The league is also looking for volunteer buddies to assist with players in the league. Volunteer registration is open for those 10 years old and older and can also be done through the website.
The fall season takes place from October 1–November 12, the release stated.
Executive Director Cassandra Switalski said, “We are very pleased to organize our Saturday and week night leagues with as many special needs athletes who just want to play baseball, meet others and have fun.”
Players will receive full uniforms with their names on the back and with major league teams’ logos on them upon registration. The players have the chance to choose their own walk-up music and have their photo displayed on the scoreboard just like in the big leagues. Parents of players get a break to enjoy the game if they wish.
