GOODYEAR - Three quarters of Thursday's Open Division showdown went well for visiting O'Connor girls basketball.
None of it mattered, since #6 seed Millennium stormed out of halftime and buried the Eagles, outscoring them 22-3.
Junior guard Elli Guiney, the Tigers' leader in scoring, rebounding and assists, missed the game after getting a concussion in Tuesday's first round win over Boulder Creek. But Millennium (18-8) picked up the slack team-wide to eliminate #11 O'Connor (17-7) from the Open 58-52 and make Arizona's Elite 8.
