Millennium girls basketball draws closer in trying times

Like many teams who lost a state title game in late February and early in March, Millennium girls basketball cried heavily after the Open Division final.

While some of the tears were certainly brought on by the 63-37 loss to a dominant Phoenix Desert Vista team, the depth of emotion appeared to point to something else. This team would never be together in quite the same way again.

The Tigers’ journey through the Open Division lasted nearly a month and bonded them in incalculable ways.
