The higher a team climbs in showcase high school boys basketball tournaments, the quicker it must adjust to a tougher challenge

Millennium stormed out to an 18-4 lead in the first four minutes of its Section 7 SLAM Bracket semifinal game against Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco. Then the Braves switched to a zone defense.

Bosco reeled the Tigers in by halftime, leading 34-33 powered by junior wing Kade Bonam's 10 second quarter points an offensive rebounding. Sophomore point guard Brandon McCoy put away a 70-59 Bosco win Saturday with 11 fourth quarter points.
