Millennials lagging in buying Phoenix homes

Valley ranks low among top 50 metros

Milllenials may be a rising force in terms of homebuyers, but their efforts are lagging in the Phoenix area, according to a new report.

The region ranked as third worst among the 50 largest U.S. metros when it comes to the percentage of millennials buying homes, according to a report out this week from Lendingtree.

According to the report, millennials made up about 46.33% of the region's homebuyers during 2020. Only Tampa, Florida, and Las Vegas had a lower percentage of millennial home buyers.
