Happy July Fourth in Tempe: City completes Mill Avenue project after 2 years

The final section of temporary striping on Mill Avenue was completed Thursday -  earlier than planned, the culmination of years of work and in time for the Fourth of July weekend.

The work marks the last stage of the Downtown Tempe Refresh Project with  minor jobs like installing bike racks and final lane striping left, city officials said. That work might involve lane restrictions and nighttime work.

Downtown Tempe Refresh is the first major infrastructure project along Mill Avenue in 40 years.
