A handful of Phoenix museums will offer free summer admission to military personnel and their families through the Blue Star Museums program.

The annual initiative provides free admission to active-duty U.S. military personnel and their families through the summer.

The 2025 Blue Star Museums program is going on through the end on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 1. Museums will also extend the benefit to veterans with a valid ID.

Museums in Phoenix offering the free summer admission are the Arizona Science Center, the Deer Valley Petroglyph Preserve, the Heard Museum, the Phoenix Art Museum, and the Rosson House Museum.

The Blue Star Museums program is available for those currently serving in the United States Military, including the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, and Space Force, members of the Reserves, National Guard, U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, and NOAA Commissioned Corps.

The program also provides free admission to up to five family members of active-duty personnel.

Qualified members must show a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), DD Form 1173-1 ID card, or the Next Generation Uniformed Services (Real) ID card for entrance into any participating Blue Star Museum.
