Larsen, 92 SUN CITY WEST - Mildred "Millie" Woods Larsen, age 92, of Sun City West, died Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Sunnybrook Assisted Living in Hendersonville where she lived for the past 2 ½ years. She was born July 21, 1922 in Clinton, Iowa to the late Leo Woods and Ella Rieck Woods. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert "Bud" Larsen; her brother, John Woods; and her sister, Pauline Meyer. Mrs. Larsen was a homemaker and she resided for most of her life in Sun City West, Arizona where she volunteered with the local hospital and was an active member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church. She moved to Hendersonville in 2012. She is survived by her three children, Jim Larsen and wife, Sharon of Bracey, Va., Judy Rankin of Asheville, and Mark Larsen of Las Palmas, Spain; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Sun City West, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Millie's memory be directed to Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 13724 W. Meeker Blvd, Sun City West, AZ 85375.
