Microburst damages Litchfield Park home, Scout Park facilities

Cleanup under way throughout the city

Litchfield Park residents and workers were busy cleaning up Tuesday, Jan. 26, in the wake of a microburst that hit the city when heavy storms rolled through the West Valley on Monday afternoon.

Microbursts are violent, tornado-like downdrafts capable of widespread destruction.

No injuries were reported after the 2 p.m. microburst, Litchfield Park officials said in a post on the city’s Facebook page.
