Michael Allan Schlaff, born to Edward L. and Dorothy Schlaff in Detroit, Mi on September 14, 1952, passed away very unexpectedly on October 03, 2018 at the young age of 66. He will be very dearly missed for the love and enduring devotion he bestowed upon James "Greg" Scherrer, his Life Partner of 31 incredible years to whom he was legally wed on October 20, 2014.Michael graduated from Farmington High School and attended Oakland Community College, receiving his Associates Degree in Arts. He enjoyed a rewarding 34-year career with the Ford Motor Company, working as a Senior Material ow Analyst responsible for interior trims and plastics until he accepted an early Retirement in 2007. A long-time Farmington/Bloomfield Hills, MI resident, he and Greg purchased their Retirement home in Sun City West on Sept. 16, 2004, in time to celebrate his 52nd Birthday.Michael was actively involved with the BOCCE Club of Sun City West where he held the offices of Secretary and President, leading 450 Club Members in league play. He gave assistance and planning to area Senior Olympic events several years running and enjoyed rubbing elbows with everyone associated with the sport of BOCCE.Michael was a life-long member Moslem Shriner Lodge #121 where he was heavily involved at a young age in Demolay, Eastern Star, Shriners and proudly went on to become a 32nd degree Mason.Predeceased by both parents; two sisters, Marlene Burger, Lucille Frook; and nephew Doug. Mike leaves behind two Brothers, Ed (Kathleen) and Ray (Claire); brother-in-law, David Frook; several nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and nephews; all of whom he was very fond.Mike will be interred in the Garden of Eternal Memory Cemetery located at 13738 W. Camino Del Sol, Sun City West, AZ. 85375. A Memorial Service is planned for Michael on Monday January 14, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the above location.
