Two World Cup-qualifying teams will meet on the pitch in Glendale this summer.
The Mexican National Team will bring its annual tour, the MexTour, or El Tri, across the U.S. with a stop at State Farm Stadium to take on Uruguay. The match has a 6 p.m. kickoff Thursday, June 2.
Since 2002 the Mexican team has staged friendly matches to prepare for competitions such as the World Cup and the Gold Cup —and to fire up its fan base. Mexico will also face Guatemala in Orlando (April 27) and Nigeria in Dallas (May 28) before heading to Chicago to face Ecuador (June 5) after the Glendale friendly.
