Metrocenter redevelopment names project homebuilder as ‘The Metropolitan’ takes shape

Concord Wilshire Capital announced Wednesday that demolition of Metrocenter Mall has been completed and that Oakwood Homes would be the exclusive residential builder for The Metropolitan project on the mall’s former site.

Oakwood plans to build 1,000 residences on the property, which would include starter homes and apartment living.

“Their company’s values, extensive resources, design flexibility, and proven ability to efficiently deliver high-quality custom-designed townhomes for The Metropolitan, made Oakwood Homes a natural fit for The Metropolitan, aligning perfectly with our needs and the demands of today’s dynamic housing market,” said Nate Sirang, president of Concord Wilshire.
