Metrocenter project moves ahead

Developers are in talks with apartment builders to revamp a Phoenix area once home to the biggest mall in Arizona.

Developers Concord Wilshire Capital and TLG Investment Partners announced Jan. 23 it had officially acquired Metrocenter Mall including the former Dillard’s and Macy’s buildings.

Metrocenter was made famous by the likes of Jane Wiedlin dancing in the mall’s corridors in “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” and Michael Jordan driving on the nearby Castles N’ Coasters go kart track.
