Mesquite Fresh Street Mex, a modern Mexican grab-and-go brand, is partnering with The Foster Alliance as part of its annual Toys for Tacos charitable holiday drive for Arizona’s foster youth.

From Nov. 1 until Dec.18, dine-in guests who visit any of Mesquite’s 10 Valley locations and donate a new, unwrapped toy will receive one free taco of choice.

Mesquite founded the Toys for Tacos initiative in 2020, bringing the concept into its fifth year of gifting holiday magic to children in need.

“A simple toy can offer comfort, connection and a sense of belonging. We are proud to play a part in creating meaningful moments for kids in foster care,” said Ahmad Alatrash, co-founder of Mesquite Fresh Street Mex.

The Foster Alliance is proud to once again partner with Toys for Tacos in 2025 to support children in foster care across Arizona and New Mexico. In 2024, the statewide toy drive collected more than 18,000 toys, helping ensure thousands of foster children received gifts during the holiday season.

As Arizona’s largest provider of essentials for foster families - and now newly expanded into New Mexico - the Foster Alliance supplies essential items such as beds, cribs, clothing, diapers, personal care products, backpacks filled with school supplies, and birthday gifts that remind every child they are valued.

The Foster Alliance is seeking gifts for children of all ages, including:

• Baby books
• Stacking Toys
• Push/Pull Toys
• Play-Doh Sets
• Remote Control Toys
• Skateboards & Scooters
• Video Games
• Sports Balls
• Earbuds & Speakers
• Self Care & Beauty

Guests can drop off items at any Mesquite Fresh Street Mex location from now through Dec. 18. Mesquite has locations across the Valley with multiple in Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe and now Tolleson. To find a location near you, visit https://eatmesquite.com/.
