Mesa police report violent crime reduction in 2025, juvenile disturbance calls increase

The Mesa Police Department has released its 2025 year-end crime statistics, which show a reduction in violent crime and an increase in juvenile disturbance calls.

“In 2025, the City of Mesa experienced a notable reduction in violent crime, while calls for service increased alongside continued population growth,” Mesa Police Chief Dan Butler said.

Butler tied the results to those working in the department “in partnership with other city departments and the community.”
