Mesa police investigate after body found in canal

A body was found Tuesday morning in a canal at 8200 E. Brown Road in Mesa, police said.

The body, which has been turned over to the Maricopa County Medical Examiner, is male, but there has been no identification on who it is.

Trauma does not appear to be a factor, police said, “but as with all investigations, details are subject to change as the case evolves.”
