Mesa police ask for help as they search for man's killer

Mesa police need help from the public as they search for the killer of a 32-year-old man whose body was found this week outside a Goodwill store.

Police said Johnathan Gliege was killed Jan. 17, and he was found at 7 p.m. on that day in a parking lot at the Goodwill, 1900 E. University Drive.

Injuries indicated foul play,  police said in a release. Gliege was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Officers looked for security cameras in the area and spoke to several people, but they said they have not been able to identify any witnesses or locate any video footage to show what happened.

Anyone with information, including having seen Gliege near Gilbert Road and University Drive on the evening of Jan. 17, should call the Mesa Police Department at 480-644-2211 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
